Best of our TU Independent Blogs, January 5 2017: Ten for Thursday

It’s Thursday, and you know what that means.

Yes, including meaning another episode of The Big Bang Theory on Channel 6 tonight.

It’s time for me to go through the blogs written by the Times Union’s independent and community bloggers, the ones that write for this portal for the joy and love of sharing their thoughts and wisdom.

And what do I get out of setting aside one day a week from my blog to showcase their work?

For me, it’s an acknowledgement of my fellow bloggers’ talent and work.  I already get plenty of readers six days out of the week.  So if one of my blog readers happens to enjoy another TU independent blog thanks to my showcasing them, then that’s a plus.

That, and I’m kind of a scheduling nerd.  Thursdays are the blog recaps, because I say so.

And I say these blogs deserve your attention.  They include:

  1. Michael Connors’ blog, “God bless William James O’Leary, he will be greatly missed.(Read this first)
  2. Pamela Malo in the Holistic Health blog, “2017; New year, new way.
  3. Susanne Marie Poulette’s blog, “2017: Wishing for gold to stay.
  4. Rob Hoffman in the “Hoffman Files” blog, “Monopoly, a.k.a., If I’m not the car, I’m not playing.
  5. David Kalish’s “The Ruminator” blog, “Open space advocates reach milestone on future of Clifton Park land.
  6. Frank Robinson’s “Rational Optimist” blog, “Chaos, fractals, and the dripping faucet.
  7. Jaye McBride’s blog, “When spirit animals attack.
  8. Katie Lembo in the college blog, “La Pascualita.
  9. Professor Warren Roberts’ blog, “Debbie Reynolds from Burbank, California.
  10. Lawrence White’s “Field of View” blog, “Mr. Trump, Mr. Putin, and Mr. Assange.

And there you have it … a nice little recap from the TU’s independent and community blogging team.  Have a great day everybody, and let’s return here Thursday for another recap … or return here tomorrow for another Chuck Miller blog post.

In other words … See you next Thursday… or See you next tomorrow.  😀
